GIGIFY CANCELLATION, CONDUCT & PLATFORM POLICY
This policy outlines the standards, responsibilities, cancellation terms, and expected conduct for Employers and Talents using the Gigify platform. By using Gigify, all users agree to comply with these guidelines.
2. Employer Conduct and Responsibilities
Employers are expected to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about the gig, including the date, time, location, responsibilities, duration, and agreed payment.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and professional working environment.
- Treat all Talents with dignity and respect.
- Refrain from verbal abuse, physical abuse, harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or other inappropriate behaviour.
- Honour all agreed terms and responsibilities associated with the gig.
- Communicate changes or cancellations promptly through the appropriate Gigify channels.
Serious misconduct may result in account suspension, removal from the platform, and, where appropriate, further legal action.
3. Non-Poaching and Off-Platform Engagement
Employers must not directly solicit, hire, or engage a Talent introduced through Gigify outside the platform in a manner that bypasses Gigify.
This restriction applies for one year from the date the Employer is introduced to or first engages with the Talent through Gigify, subject to Gigify's applicable Terms and Conditions.
2. Strike and Account Review System
Gigify operates a three-strike accountability system:
- 1 Strike: A formal record is placed on the Talent's account.
- 2 Strikes: The Talent's account may be suspended and reviewed to determine whether continued access to the platform is appropriate.
- 3 Strikes: The Talent's account may be suspended and reviewed for possible removal from the platform.
The severity of an incident may also result in immediate suspension or removal, regardless of the number of existing strikes.
3. Professional Appearance and Personal Grooming
Talents are expected to arrive at every gig looking clean, presentable, and appropriately dressed for the event or assignment.
Talents must:
- Dress appropriately for the specific gig or event.
- Maintain good personal hygiene and consider the comfort of clients, guests, colleagues, and other Talents.
- Be properly groomed and professionally presented.
- Follow any reasonable dress code communicated before the gig.
4. Professional Conduct and Behaviour
All Talents are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.
The following behaviour is prohibited:
- Verbal or physical abuse toward clients, Gigify representatives, staff members, guests, or other Talents.
- Harassment, intimidation, threats, or other inappropriate behaviour.
- Conduct that may endanger others or seriously damage the reputation of Gigify, the Employer, or the Talent.
Serious misconduct may result in immediate suspension or removal from the platform and may attract legal action where applicable.
5. Smoking, Vaping and Alcohol
Talents must not engage in excessive smoking, vaping, or alcohol consumption before or during a gig where doing so affects their professionalism, performance, safety, or the comfort of others.
Talents must not arrive at or perform at a gig while intoxicated or otherwise impaired.
Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or removal from the platform.
6. Arrival and Punctuality
Talents are expected to arrive at the gig venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time, unless otherwise instructed.
This allows sufficient time to:
- Check in with the Employer or event organiser.
- Complete any necessary setup or preparation.
- Carry out a sound check or technical check, where applicable.
- Be fully prepared before the scheduled start time.
Repeated lateness may result in disciplinary action.
7. Representation of Gigify
While attending a gig secured through Gigify, Talents are expected to represent both themselves and the Gigify platform professionally.
Talents should demonstrate reliability, respect, professionalism, and good judgement throughout every engagement.
8. Non-Poaching and Off-Platform Engagement
Talents must not directly solicit or enter into off-platform arrangements with Employers or clients introduced to them through Gigify in a manner intended to bypass the platform.
This restriction applies for one year from the date of introduction or first engagement through Gigify, subject to Gigify's applicable Terms and Conditions.
GENERAL ENFORCEMENT
Gigify reserves the right to review reported incidents, request relevant information from the parties involved, and take appropriate action based on the circumstances.
Depending on the severity of the issue, action may include:
- A warning or strike.
- Temporary account suspension.
- Account review or investigation.
- Permanent removal from the platform.
- Further action where required by law.
The purpose of these policies is to create a reliable, respectful, professional, and safe environment for both Employers and Talents using Gigify
